Paul has been actively coaching and securing Grants and SR&ED funding for Canadian Startups since 2007. He’s a graduate of Laurier’s BBA, and the University of Waterloo’s Masters of Entrepreneurship and Technology Degree. Paul previously worked at the Ontario Centres of Excellence actively funding University spinout technologies, and today still supports the OCE Discovery Event each spring, working with hundreds of startups and thousands of attendees to showcase new Canadian Innovation.
With nearly 10 years of experience in technical writing for SR&ED and grant applications, Catherine brings an interdisciplinary background spanning biology, chemistry, mathematics and data analytics. As Lead Writer at GetGrants, Catherine’s role is to build outstanding funding applications for our portfolio of clients. She helps maintain productive long-term client relationships, keeping up to date on each company’s technology and business strategies to identify funding opportunities and provide ongoing support throughout the year. Catherine has worked with small and medium-sized technology companies across a wide range of specialized fields, including mobile software, wearables, biotech, electrochemistry, computer vision, and automated manufacturing. She takes pride in a high standard of precision and attention to detail, as well as reliable, timely communication with our clients.
Zach is a Canadian data scientist and cyber security expert. After
years of building startups and advising organizations large and small
on data science. Zach is turning his focus to improving public
literacy on technology. Zach consults with GetGrants to provide SR&ED
writing and technology support to our clients.
Stephanie is a technical and science writer who has a diverse background in health sciences and professional writing. Throughout her academic career, Stephanie focused on a range of
disciplines including health epidemiology, biostatistics, clinical research, and technical writing.
She previously founded and worked as the scientific lead of a Canadian start-up in the wearable technology space, and specialized in scientific communication in the form of industry and government grant writing, clinical communications, and investor relations. Stephanie is passionate about innovation in the Canadian science and technology sector, and enjoys learning about novel technologies and providing assistance with scientific and technical communications in a range of fields.
Michelle is a highly experienced Calgary-based writer, researcher, and product development consultant with over 10 years of academic and start-up experience, largely within the life sciences and tech sectors. She draws upon previous significant leadership and academic clinical research experience, success in securing municipal, provincial, and federal grants, an extensive peer-reviewed research publication resume, and a breadth of ghostwriting and technical writing experience in health, law, government, and other areas.
Kirsten is a technical writer who’s highly motivated to help Canadian startups, SMEs, and non-profits with her talents for navigating the grant landscape and designing impact driven proposals. With 8 years of professional experience rooted in environmental compliance and management, she is pleased to support a portfolio of organizations who are unearthing innovative solutions to today’s environmental challenges.
